Harry Trimble - Lewes Pound Coin
This coin was designed and produced to encapulate the idiosyncratic qualities of the East Sussex Town of Lewes; from its deceased foundry, to the iron found in its ground to the large sea trout which dwell in its river, the Ouse . In addition to testing how feasible it would be for the town to independently manufacture its own currency, the Lewes Pound. Its ultimate aim is to form a local, cultural icon of ‘substance’.
